Adjusts scene resolution when rendering slows. Interface text stays sharp. High uses the most detail; Low keeps every puzzle and clue.

Fear is atmosphere. Marked exposure crossings show predictable wind and catch your safety tether if you lose balance.

Controller

Standard Xbox / PlayStation-style pads: press and release a button to connect. Left stick moves and balances; right stick looks. LB/L1 and RB/R1 alternate hands; LT/L2 descends; RT/R2 sprints on foot. A/Cross interacts, X/Square recovers, Y/Triangle opens evidence, B/Circle returns, Start/Options pauses. D-pad navigates menus and adjusts equipment. A keyboard key or click may be needed once to unlock browser audio.

Removes camera sway, roll and field-of-view effects. Follows your device preference initially.

Optional subtle texture. Grain animation and parallax stop with reduced motion.

Cloud shadows, dust, cable movement and warning-light halos. Disable for lighter graphics.

A slow, faint glow inside distant clouds. Disabled by reduced motion and lighter atmosphere.

Turn off for slower computers. Gameplay and visibility are unchanged.

Offers the next clue after quiet exploration. Equipment feedback stays available.

Grip scares briefly suspend Q/E. Space recovers your free hand. The first catch is forgiving; later misses return to a nearby saved deck. Escape pauses. Disabling Unsettling events also disables grip scares. Both input options preserve the same story and endings.

Ambient events are optional. Grip encounters use the separate Space recovery prompt and can be reduced or disabled above. Unsettling audio and captions can be adjusted independently.

Set visual intensity or volume to zero to disable those effects. Changes apply now and are saved on this browser. Close this panel, then resume when ready.
